EARTHCHILD describes her DJing as a color palette of sound. Using the inspiration she acquired growing up in DC and from her lineage, she aims to provide you with an exhibition of music and an experience that is unlike others. Growing up in DC gave her the chance to evolve in a melting pot of different cultures, music, and traditions and in turn made EARTHCHILD want to create these sounds herself. “People often ask me what “type” of music I do. I can never answer that because I never want to box myself in. Music and sound in general is such a vast language and I want to experience different aspects of it. “

When she first began, she was a lyricist. In 2014, she decided to move to L.A. , with a group of friends she did music with. The group fell apart, but while there she honed in on her love for chopped & screwed music and began creating it. “ I literally had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t even know that I knew how to count beats or keep time but I knew that I wanted to learn.” And thats exactly what she did before leaving L.A. to return to the East Coast. Thus beginning her journey to NYC. When EARTHCHILD was about 16 she would sneak to Baltimore to a club called the Dox that only happened every third Saturday, with her friends. This is where she got her first taste of Baltimore Club Music and the world that it encompassed. She moved to NYC, to be closer to the Jersey Club scene and to further expand her musical knowledge to gain new perspectives.

Currently, EARTHCHILD is working at 305 Fitness as a DJ and on her production as well as new mixes.
